Longless Film Festival – VII edition
Longless Film Festival is a short film competition dedicated to young directors and videomakers aged between 18 and 35, organized by Cooperativa Aeris in the Monza and Brianza area.
The festival, now in its seventh edition, was created with the aim of bringing the Seventh Art to the youngest and promoting values such as youthful protagonism, active participation in society and the approach to Art and Culture in general.
- PLACE AND DATE
The seventh edition of the Longless Film Festival will be held in July 2023.
Venue and dates of the event will be confirmed later. - CONDITIONS
Participation in the festival is open to directors and videomakers aged between 18 and 35, both Italian and non-Italian.
Each participating director will be able to compete with only one work of a maximum duration of 20 minutes (end credits included).
Short films from any country and in any language can participate.
The theme is absolutely free.
All formats are accepted.
The short films may have been presented at other festivals or on online platforms at the time of entry, but must not have been released in any cinema.
Works containing pornographic, racist, propaganda, inciting discrimination or apologizing for violence are not eligible for participation. The same principles apply to the titles of works. - DEADLINES AND ENROLLMENT FEES
It is possible to register your short film from 1 February 2023 up to and including 1 April 2023.
The competition for the seventh edition of the LongLess Film Festival is open to only 1000 short films. Upon reaching this number of participants, the festival management reserves the right to close the registrations even if in advance of the registration deadline in order to guarantee an optimal organization of the event.

The registration process must be carried out by sending the works with English subtitles through our dedicated page on the FilmFreeway platform:
Short films that do not comply with the requests will be automatically excluded.
- SELECTION
30 works will be selected among those admitted to the competition.
The short films in the official selection will be judged by the jury, which will choose ten finalist works by voting.
The 10 finalist works will be screened during the days of the festival, at the end of which the winning short films will be announced and awarded.
Once selected, participants will be contacted via the FilmFreeway platform.
Once selected, the producers of the short films cannot withdraw them from the competition and must send:
Screening copy of the short film without subtitles;
Subtitle files (.srt).
Copies on physical media will not be accepted. The festival management will not return any devices received.
The festival management will send the selected logo with the laurel of the official selection.
The festival management will not communicate with the non-selected. A shortlist will be published on the website, on the FIlmFreeway platform and on our social pages.
The winning directors of the awards will be invited by the festival. The festival will not assume the participant’s travel costs or pay any screening fees. Any food and lodging expenses will be agreed with the festival management. - THE JURY
The jury will be made up of professionals from the world of cinema, communication, education and training.
The jury’s decision will be irrevocable.
The Italian short films competing among the thirty officially selected will also be presented to a second jury, the Young Jury, made up of very young people (14-18 years) from the area for the assignment of the Young Award.

to the best short film dedicated to the LGBTQ+ theme among those received.

“Best Short Climate Change”

The Jury will award a special mention
to the best short film dedicated to the theme of Climate Change among those received.
Prizes will be awarded on the last day of the festival.
Not the winners
those present will be able to have their prizes by post, exclusively on Italian territory, at the expense of the festival. It will not be possible to send any uncollected prizes outside the national borders.
- MATERIALS AND RIGHTS
The copies of the short films and the materials presented in the competition will become part of the festival archive. At the director’s request, the film may be removed from the video library. In any case, Longless Film Festival undertakes to use it for exclusively cultural purposes (and in no case commercial) within initiatives linked to the festival.
By signing this regulation, you agree to the screening of the material sent during the selection phases and the days of the festival and to the use of the same or part of it, the title of the work, its poster or the name of the directors for promotional and informational use (promotional clips, posters and brochures).
Following the previous points, the participant will not be able to demand any compensation for the screening of his short film, if the producers express grievances, the festival organization will reserve the right to exclude the short film from the competition as a last resort even if it has already been selected by the jury. - ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATION
